Easy and healthy air fryer chicken fajitas.

Weeknight cooking doesn’t get much easier, or more satisfying, than with these air fryer chicken fajitas. A simple marinade, a quick toss with bell peppers and onions, and the air fryer does the rest.

ingredients you will need

  • Chicken breast, cut to thin strips - you can also use chicken tenders.
  • Bell peppers - I like to use a variety of colors.
  • Fajita seasoning - homemade or store-bought will do, taco seasoning works as well here.
  • Lemon pepper.
  • Cooking oil - I use olive oil in this recipe, but any high-smoke point oil will also do.

how to make air fryer chicken fajitas

We start by preheating the air fryer to 390°F (200°)C.

While the air fryer heats, toss sliced chicken, bell peppers, and onions in a bowl with olive oil, fajita seasoning, and lemon pepper until well coated.

Spread everything out evenly in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 15 minutes, giving it a good shake or stir halfway through, until the chicken is cooked (the chicken should have a minimum internal temperature of at least 165°F or 74°C.

Pile onto warm tortillas and serve with guacamole, salsa, some sour cream or Greek yogurt, or whatever toppings you like.
