how to make air fryer pork chops (no breading)
- Prepare the pork chops marinade: combine the spices, mustard, and olive oil in a bowl then marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes (recommended). Allow the pork chops to come to room temperature before cooking. Preheat your air fryer and place the pork chops in the air fryer basket. It is okay if the meat touches a little bit, just avoid stacking the pieces on top of each other.
- Air fry until done, making sure to flip mid-cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
- Once cooked, allow the pork chops to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
useful tips
- select a firm chop with some marbling, and avoid ones that have dark spots or look too pale.
- while marinating the meat is optional, I recommend that you marinate the pork chops for at least 30 minutes for the best flavor.
- bring the meat to room temperature for about 30 minutes before air frying.
- thinner pork chops will take a shorter time to cook than thicker ones, so make a point to check mid-cooking and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- to keep the meat juicy, allow the pork chops to rest for at least 3-5 minutes before serving.

Air Fryer Pork Chops (No Breading)
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops (see notes for the cooking time)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2½ teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tsp ground black pepper (use more or less, depending on taste)
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 3 tablespoon olive oil (or your preferred choice of cooking oil)
Instructions
- Allow the pork chops to come to room temperature 30 minutes before cooking.
- Next, prepare the pork chops marinade by combining cumin, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, soy sauce, salt, ground black pepper, yellow mustard, and olive oil in a bowl.
- Add the pork chops to the bowl and combine, so that each pork chop is properly coated with the marinade. Allow the meat to marinate for at least 30 minutes and to come to room temperature before air frying (see notes below).
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes. Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket; it is okay if the meat touches a little bit, just avoid stacking the pieces on top of each other.
- Close the air fryer and air fry for 14 minutes, if using 1-inch-thick bone-in pork chops (otherwise refer to the time guide in the notes below). Also, make sure to check and flip the meat mid-cooking.
- Once the air frying time is over, use an instant-read thermometer to check whether the meat has cooked properly.
- Once cooked, transfer the pork chops to plates and allow them to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

We just bought a new air fryer and couldn't wait to try this air fryer pork chops recipe. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out! I substituted garlic powder for granulated garlic, but other than that made no changes. Perfect recipe, can't wait to make it again.

I love pork chops, but hate the mess they make when I fry them. You air fryer version was so easy to prepare and your instructions made it foolproof.
