You will require ingredients:
- avocado and cold water prawns (peeled, pre-boiled with no tails).
- creamy spicy dressing - paleo or whole 30 approved mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos, chili powder, minced garlic clove, juice of ¼ of a lemon, chopped fresh dill, and some water to thin out the dressing, as required.
You will need the following kitchen tools:
- A chef's knife - to cut the avocado
- A chopping board - comes in handy, especially if one doesn't have great knife skills, like me
- Mixing bowl - one to whip up the creamy dressing as well as prepare the filling
- Salad dressing container - for serving the sauce
- A whisk - to mix everything together
How to Make
Make the sauce: Whisk all the ingredients except the water and dill in a bowl. If the sauce is too thick, thin it out by slowly adding water, one tablespoon at a time until the desired thickness is attained. Add the dill, mix then set the sauce aside on a serving container and proceed to work on the avocado.
Prepare the avocado: Scoop a bit of flesh from the avocados, about two tablespoons worth from each avocado and set aside on a plate. Next, add the scooped avocado flesh to a bowl and press with a fork. Add the prawns and half of the sauce to the bowl with the scooped-out avocado flesh and mix. Scoop the avocado and prawn-sauce mix into the boats to serve. Drizzle as much of the remaining sauce on top and serve.
