4slicesbread(use any bread suitable for toasting. Gluten-free, paleo and keto-friendly toast bread will work too).
2tablespoonsoftened butter(or margarine)
Instructions
Spread the butter on one side of each piece of bread then arrange the bread on the air fryer basket, with the buttered side facing down.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for four minutes, flip, and air fry for a further 3 minutes (the time will depend on how you prefer your toast and how thick or thin they are sliced - see recipe notes below). Once the time is over, remove the basket from the air fryer.
Serve your air fryer toast with jam, butter, grilled cheese, honey, or your favorite toppings!

air fryers work differently and cooking times may as a result differ. Air fry the bread for four minutes for a light crunch, and for 8 minutes (flipping halfway through); if you prefer your toast browner and crunchier.
also, it is ok to add or reduce one or two extra minutes to the cooking time, depending on how thick or thin the bread is sliced, or depending on how dark or crunchy you prefer your toast. Feel free to check on the bread halfway through cooking, and adjust the time accordingly.
