This honey and lemon air fryer halloumi recipe is a game changer! Crispy on the outside, warm and perfectly tender inside - it's quick, easy, and ready in minutes.
Use a kitchen cloth to pat your halloumi cheese dry. Next, slice the halloumi into evenly sized pieces, about ¼ inch (0.5-0.6 cm) thick, and place them in a bowl.
Transfer olive oil, honey, lemon juice, and thyme to a bowl. Gently coat each side of the halloumi with the marinade. For best results, allow the cheese to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Place halloumi slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket (no overlapping). Brush with more of the honey marinade.
Air fry for 7-8 minutes until golden and crispy - no need to flip midway through.
Flip, and air fry for 1-2 minutes, or until done to your liking.
Transfer to a plate, brush with the remaining honey and lemon mixture, then serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Fresh or dried thyme is okay to use. You can also use your favorite herbs, such as oregano.
