Ingredients

  • ½ pound mushrooms (sliced - see notes below)
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion (sliced - see notes below)
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon ground sweet (or smoked) paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground onion powder
  • 1-2 tablespoon melted butter or margarine

Instructions

  • Transfer the mushrooms and onions to a large bowl.
  • Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste, paprika, ground garlic, and onion powder.
  • Transfer to your air fryer basket then air fry at 190°C/375°F for 10-12 minutes shaking the air fryer basket halfway through, or until you get your desired crispiness.
  • Once cooked, transfer the mushrooms and onions to a plate, and top with the melted butter (or margarine).
  • Serve immediately and keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

    • My recipe produces mushrooms that are more crispy on the edges, cut your mushrooms into halves or quarters if you prefer them less crispy.
    • For some heat, try adding some red pepper flakes.
    • I used my Ninja foodi air fryer. Where necessary, adjust the cooking time to suit the specific brand of air fryer that you own.
