- wash you apples. If waxed, rub vinegar on the surface to remove the wax. - leave the skin on, or peel the apples, as preferred.

- using a sharp knife or a mandolin slicer, thinly and evenly slice the apples. - cut them as regularly as possible so they dehydrate evenly.

-make a pre-treatment solution by combining water and lemon juice in a bowl. - soak the apples in the acidulated water for 10 minutes.

- transfer the apple slices to a tray and pat dry. - make sure to properly dry them, so they dehydrate faster.

- top the sliced apples with cinnamon (or spice them up once dehydrated). - lay them on the rack and carefully place it inside your air fryer.

- dehydrate for 8-10 hours, or until dry. - alternatively, make them using the oven or air fryer method, if you want to make apple chips without a dehydrator.
